Haoze Li | 李昊澤

I'm an associate professor at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS). I am currently on leave from GDUFS to work at   Department of Linguistics, University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC)  as a visiting assistant professor.

I got my PhD from Department of Linguistics, New York University (NYU) and and Master's from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) .

My research interest lies primarily in semantics and pragmatics, as well as their interactions with syntax. More specifically, I have worked on Mandarin (and its dialects), Cantonese, and English in the following areas:

Although the majority of my work is done with tools in theoretical semantics and syntax, I have started recent collaborative projects incorporating other methods in contemporary linguistics, including experimental linguistics and corpus study.

When I'm not doing linguistics, I enjoy cooking and hanging out with my son.
